Norgate Inlet lies between Pointe au Baril and Byng Inlet.
Gereaux Island has a small place in Canadian art history. Tom Thomson’s painting Byng Inlet, Georgian Bay 1914 – 1915 originates here. Ross King wrote about it in a piece for the Walrus. The painting is now in the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. The AGO has a little sketch of the painting.
