End: Mile 766.3 (Crabtree Meadows) [Calfornia Section G - Page 14]
I dream that a bear cub snuck into my tent and put its arms around me.
On a section of the trail that is completely flat and free of rocks I make a quasi-successful attempt at spraining my ankle. I hurts. I stumble to Crabtree Meadows. There go my plans to summit Mount Whitney tomorrow. I feel very sorry for myself but also marvel at my ability to set myself up for failure.
