Day 110 (1561.8-1586.2)

Thursday August 15
Start: Mile 1561.8
End: Mile 1586.2

Today is Trinity Alps day. Things are better: my feet are better, the weather is better, and the views are better. The wildflowers are back, the lakes, the meadows, it’s a all there again and I feel a bit like I’m in the “Sierras for beginners”. This is where I’m the happiest. There are not a lot of places to camp though. The slopes are very steep and flats spots are few and far between. I hike until dark and end up on the only flat spot I can find: the parking lot next to highway 93.
